Young Rochester Girl Critically Injured in Crash Has Died
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An 8-year-old Rochester girl has died from the critical injuries she suffered in a traffic crash earlier this week.
The State Patrol earlier reported that the young girl was a passenger in an SUV that collided with another SUV on Highway 14 east of Rochester. The deadly collision was reported near the entrance to Chester Woods Park on November 20th at 6 PM.

The road was slick from snow and ice when the two SUVs, traveling in opposite directions, collided.
The deceased child was in an SUV driven by 43-year-old Colleen Ronningen of Rochester. She, and her 12-year-old daughter, were transported by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver, 36-year-old Kevin Douangmychit of Rochester, also suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. An update on his condition is not available.
The announcement of the 8-year-old girl's death was shared on a Caringbridge site set up on behalf of the Ronningen family. It states that "surgeons did attempt intervention, but it was determined that her injuries were such that she would not survive." It also shares that the family made the decision to donate her organs.
The State Patrol has not released her name, but the Caringbridge site identified her as Kambrynn Ronningen.
