The mixed precipitation predicted in southeast Minnesota is expected to be followed by short bursts of intense snow showers as a cold front moves south, the advisory says.

The latest prediction is calling for a trace to 2 inches for Rochester, with smaller accumulations predicted further south.
Despite the light snowfall prediction, officials are warning of low visibility caused by the new snow and strong winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
