State Patrol: Slick Roads Were Factors in Three Injury Crashes in Wabasha County Sunday

Sunday’s first crash occurred on Hwy. 42 between Plainview and Kellogg.

A northbound pick-up truck, driven by 29-year-old Bryton Thomas Miller of Kellogg, and a northbound SUV, driven by 39-year-old Amber Marie Provance of Pepin, WI, collided on the two-lane highway, the state crash report says.

Provance was brought to a hospital in Wabasha and Miller was not hurt, the State Patrol says.

The second injury crash on Sunday happened about 40 minutes later at a J-turn intersection along Hwy. 61.

A GMC SUV and Subaru SUV collided on Hwy. 61 south of the Hwy. 42 J-turn intersection. Both vehicles were southbound on Hwy. 61 when they collided in the turn lane to enter northbound Hwy. 61, according to the state crash report

26-year-old Benjamin David Timmerman of Rochester was the driver and lone occupant of the GMC SUV.

The State Patrol identified the driver of the Subaru SUV as 56-year-old Laura Ann Lenz of Rochester and says 56-year-old Todd David Rowekamp of Rochester was riding with her.

Timmerman and Lenz suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were brought to the hospital in Wabasha. Rowekamp was not hurt, according to the State Patrol.

A young Rochester man was the lone person involved in the third injury crash Sunday. The state crash report says 20-year-old Lucas Arruda Olson was heading southbound on Hwy. 61 towards Wabasha when he went into the ditch.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in Wabasha for further care, according to the State Patrol.

Everyone involved in the three crashes was buckled up. All three state crash reports also say alcohol was not a factor in the crashes.
