Minnesota Man & Woman Arrested for Toddler’s Christmas Day Drug Death
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota man and woman are in custody after the apparent drug-related death of a toddler on Christmas Day.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the deadly incident.
The St. Paul Police Department says officers found an unresponsive child at a home in the 1000 block of 5th St. East in St. Paul shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Christmas Day.
1-Year-Old Child Dies from Suspected Drug Exposure on Christmas Day in St. Paul, MN
The child, who is described as 18 months old, was taken to Regions Hospital and was pronounced deceased. Police say preliminary information suggests narcotics played a role in causing the child’s death.
Officials identified the deceased toddler’s parents as 38-year-old Jeffrey Weidell and 31-year-old Jasmine Ryan.
Weidell and Ryan were both arrested on suspicion of second-degree manslaughter. Both were booked into the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center on Christmas Day.
Police have not said what suspected narcotic is involved with the child’s death or how the child came into contact with the drug. No other information has been released.
