Bloomington, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released the name of a southern Minnesota woman who was killed this morning when she lost control of her car while driving on a slippery section of freeway in the Twin Cities.

The State Patrol says 45-year-old Yadir Gabriela Hernandezaquilar of Shakopee was traveling west on I-494 in Bloomington when she lost control of her car at the Highway 169 interchange. The preliminary crash report indicates the car spun and slid from the right lane through all of the lanes of traffic before it was struck on the driver side by a semi-truck in the left lane.

Hernandezaquilar, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews arrived shortly after 6:30 AM.

The driver of the semi-truck, 76-year-old George Jensen of Eagan, was not injured.
