Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a multi-month sexual assault investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Rochester man.

Preliminary information release by Captain Tim Parkin on Monday indicates that deputies made the arrest on Friday.

The victim in the case is described as a minor female who was 14 when the alleged assaults began and 15 when they ended.

Charges: Rochester Man Threatened to Kill Teen Sexaul Assault Victim, Showed Her his Gun

Parkin said the victim reported being sexually assaulted multiple times in Olmsted County by 43-year-old Levi Vivier

The criminal complaint says the teen girl reported the sexual assaults in August. She said Vivier raped her at a northeast Rochester residence in February and that Viver threatened her with a gun when she resisted his advances.

Vivier is accused of sexually assaulting the girl 10 times between February and August. The charges say he also threatened to kill her if she reported the sex assaults.

Vivier was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate Vivier was booked into the jail shortly after 9:30 Friday morning.

The Rochester man made his first appearance in Olmsted County Court on Monday morning.

He is charged with four counts first-degree criminal sexual conduct and a felony count of tampering with a witness. Vivier's bail was set at $500,000 and he's due back in court next week.
