Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A St. Paul man has been charged in a large drug bust that occurred in Rochester over one year ago.

The criminal complaint was filed in Olmsted County Court on Monday. Authorities seized the large quantity of drugs in August of 2023. 

Rochester police found the suspected controlled substances while executing a search warrant on a van parked outside of a residence in the 2800 block of Riverwood Ln. Northwest, the charges say.

St. Paul Man Charged for 2023 Fentanyl, Cocaine & Meth Bust in Rochester, MN

Police conducted surveillance on home prior to the raid and saw a man, identified as 51-year-old Tyrone Hubert Roberts, going back and forth between the van’s driver’s side and passenger side, the complaint says. 

Roberts was inside of the home when law enforcement executed the warrant. There was also a woman, who is not named in the complaint, with him prior to the search.

The search led to the discovery of 88.2 grams of a rock-like substance that tested positive for fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, 17.2 grams of presumptive positive methamphetamine and 89.7 grams of presumptive positive cocaine, according to the complaint.

Authorities found the drugs packaged in various locations throughout the van, the charges say. 

Roberts is charged with two counts of first-degree drug possession and one count of third-degree drug possession. He’s due to make his first court appearance in January.
