
Burglars Steal Nearly $30K in Cash During Break-in of Kasson Bar

Kasson, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating a costly burglary that occurred at a southeast Minnesota bar over the Labor Day weekend.

As of Thursday afternoon no arrests have been announced. Law enforcement has released footage of the suspects and has asking for the public’s assistance.
A post on the bar’s Facebook page says the burglary prevented them from serving customers on Tuesday.

Nearly $30K in Cash, ATM & E-Tabs Stolen During Labor Day Weekend Burglary of Pete's Bar in Kasson
The burglary occurred at Pete’s Bar in Kasson. Kasson Police Chief Josh Hanson said the break-in happened during the overnight hours between August 31 and September 1.
The suspects gained entry to the business by prying open the rear door, which suffered damages during the break-in.
Once inside they stole an ATM and a pair of E-tab machines, Hanson says.

In all, police estimate the thieves stole $28,546 in cash from the bar. The money came from the bar, ATM and E-tab dollars earmarked for youth hockey.
“It's been a tough experience for all of us - we're feeling a mix of sadness, disappointment, and a little anxiety,” the post on Pete’s Bar’s Facebook page says.
Kasson police are asking anyone who can identify the suspects to call 507-634-3881, and select option 3 for investigations. Tipsters can also email information to police@kassonpolice.com.
