The Owatonna Police Department is requesting the public's help today as they try to identify the individual or individuals responsible for damaging properties in one of the city's neighborhoods.

Police say video footage would be helpful and are asking residents to check their home surveillance cameras and report any unusual activity to the police department.

Owatonna Police Ask for Public's Help in Property Damage Investigation

The damage was done between the hours of 2:00 AM and 4:30 AM on Monday, May 26th.

Owatonna Police say they've taken reports of someone pounding on doors or kicking them hard enough to damage them. The OPD wants to talk to anyone with video or information about the property damage to residences in the area of Elm Ave South and McKinley St.

Anyone with information is asked to call 507-451-8232 and ask to speak to an Owatonna Police Officer.

The OPD reminds residents to, "always remember to lock up your property and use lighting to deter potential criminal activity and you becoming a victim."
