Police: Olmsted County Fairgrounds Shooting Suspect Arrested
Rochester, MN - (KROC-AM News)- A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds over Labor Day Weekend.
According to a press release from The Rochester Police Department, detectives from the Rochester Police Department collaborated with the Owatonna Police Department for an “extensive investigation” that led to the arrest of 18-year-old Kelvin Figueroa-Millan from New Jersey.

Figueroa-Millan was arrested on Friday, October 6 around 7:15 a.m. at an Owatonna hotel where police executed search warrants at the hotel and a vehicle linked to the suspect. Evidence related to the shooting was also located, according to police.
Shooting Incident at Olmsted County Fairgrounds Over Labor Day Weekend
On Saturday, September 2, Rochester police were called to Graham Park around 10:00 p.m. to investigate reports of at least three gunshots fired.
When police arrived, they saw a fight had broken out outside of an event space where several Quincinreras were being held earlier that evening.
Although there were multiple people present at the fairgrounds during the shooting, no injuries were reported. Police reported that a vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta, that was at the scene was struck by a bullet.

Several days after the shooting, police released an image of the suspect captured by a security camera in the area asking for the public’s help identifying the person.
Figueroa-Millan faces felony charges for 2nd Degree Assault with a Firearm and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.
