Missing Person Rescued Then Airlifted to Hospital in Winona County
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in Winona County rescued then airlifted a missing person to a hospital on Saturday.

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office says the person was working on a fence in Pleasant Valley, which is just south of Winona.
The person had not returned and was reported missing shortly before 4:30 p.m., authorities say.
Missing person Rescued by Air in Winona County Flown to Hospital
A group of 35 people, made up of members from multiple emergency response agencies and neighbors, conducted searches through the air, on the ground and by horseback.
The search teams located the victim around 5:20 p.m. in what the Winona County Sheriff’s Office described as a hard to reach area.
Authorities conducted an aerial rescue using ropes attached to a helicopter to extract the missing person.
The individual was then flown to a hospital in La Crosse for treatment of what are being described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The name of the victim has not been released.
