Man Charged in Massive Eyota Drug Growing Operation Enters Plea Deal
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The man charged in a massive drug growing operation bust in Eyota last year has reached a plea agreement with Olmsted County prosecutors.
The criminal complaint in the case says Olmsted County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 30 block of Park Dr. Northwest in Eyota on Feb. 15.
The search led to the discovery of large quantities of psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana. 46-year-old Andrew Krukow was arrested and charged as a result of the raid.
On Wednesday the Eyota man entered a plea agreement in which he pled guilty to a first-degree drug sales charge.
In exchange the prosecution dismissed a first-degree drug possession charge, two counts of fifth-degree drug possession and a gross misdemeanor charge for having a firearm near a controlled substance.
The charges say deputies seized 1,158 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 186.1 grams of marijuana, seven amphetamine/dextroamphetamine pills, $2,000 in cash and packaging that indicated drug sale activity.
Law enforcement also seized seven firearms and ammunition that was found inside of the residence.
Information regarding the plea agreement did not indicate a possible sentencing. Krukow is set to be sentenced at a hearing scheduled to occur in March.
