Lakeville Police Report Arrest in Murder Investigation
Lakeville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Lakeville Police Department is reporting an arrest for the murder of a woman yesterday in the far southern Twin Cities suburb.
A news release says the victim was found after Lakeville police officers were called to a home in Lakeville to investigate a report of a "significant amount of blood" found inside the residence. The responding officers located a deceased woman in the home.
A family member provided investigators with information about the potential suspect who was arrested in the Rosemount about 40 minutes after officers responded to the crime scene around 11:10 PM. Officials say the suspect was suffering from injuries that appeared to be self-inflicted. The man was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and is being treated under guard.
The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.
