Infant Dies After Being Brought to Hospital in Champlin, Adult in Medical Distress Found With Baby

Champlin, MN (MinnesotaNow)- Authorities in the Twin Cities are investigating the suspicious death of an infant.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Champlin Police Department on Monday. Officers responded to the report of a baby not breathing on Friday.

The call came from a home in the 11900 block of Castle Rock Ct. Responding officers discovered the infant was not breathing. They also encountered an adult in medical distress, the news release says. 

Officers rendered aid and the baby and adult were brought to a hospital. Caregivers at the hospital pronounced the infant dead, authorities say. 

The names of the infant and adult have not been released. Police have not released an update on the adult’s condition.
