
Department of Homeland Security Announces 18 Immigration Arrests Made in Rochester
Washington D.C. (KROC-AM News)- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched a new website that highlights arrests made during the agency’s immigration enforcement operations.

A news release announcing the website says the arrests have been made since the start of the second Trump Administration.
The DHS website indicates Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested dozens of illegal immigrants in Minnesota. A number of the apprehensions have occurred in Rochester.
DHS Highlights Rochester Immigration Arrests
Federal immigration agents have been spotted in Rochester in at least two high-profile instances since the start of the nationwide illegal immigration crackdown.

In February, ICE agents arrested two workers at Nupa Restaurant. One was later released.
In May, ICE agents were at the Olmsted County Government Center. The federal agency did not release any details about their presence at the government center.

A statement published by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office shortly after the ICE agents departure indicated deputies provided the agents an escort in the public areas of the building, which is in line with the sheriff’s office’s policy regarding visits from outside law enforcement agencies.
DHS Announces 18 Immigration Arrests in Rochester
In all ICE has made 96 arrests in Minnesota, with 18 of the arrests happening in Rochester.
DHS indicates half of the migrants arrested in Rochester were convicted of illegal re-entry.

10 of the arrests were for drug convictions, two are for migrant smuggling convictions and three were for weapons and assault convictions. Two of the arrested individuals had convictions for money laundering or fraud, DHS says.
