Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A jury in Hennepin County today returned a guilty verdict in a murder case linked to Olmsted County.

Thirty-three-year-old Margot Lewis was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for the death of 35-year-old Liaria Tsai last year. The victim’s body was found in a vehicle driven by Lewis after she was involved in a traffic crash along I-90 at the Eyota interchange last June.

The criminal complaint against Lewis says Minneapolis police discovered a bloody crime scene at the victim’s Minneapolis apartment during a search conducted after Tsai’s body was found following the crash in Olmsted County. The court document also indicated that a knife was missing from the apartment, and an autopsy determined the victim died from multiple sharp-force injuries.

Security Footage Links Lewis to Victim’s Vehicle

The evidence against Lewis included video from a security camera located outside the victim’s residence. The criminal complaint says the footage shows a woman, who appears to be Lewis, driving Tsai’s vehicle about two hours before the crash on I-90.
