The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Thursday, says the charges stem from an internet tip Rochester police received in July.
Officers identified a suspect through information associated with the cyber tip.

The charges say the tip concerned four sexually explicit videos depicting girls ranging in age from 12-16 being uploaded to Discord this past March.
A message saying “I sell porn” was connected with one of the videos.

Investigators identified the account holder associated with the suspected child sexual abuse material as 23-year-old Connor Miles King.
Police executed search warrants for King’s residence and person on Wednesday morning. Officers stopped King from leaving the home prior to their search.
Phone Seized During Rochester Child Porn Investigation
Investigators seized King’s phone and conducted an initial search of it that led to evidence that King had access to the Discord account included in the cyber tip, the court document indicates.
There was also an email on the phone that was sent by Discord on the day the files were allegedly uploaded that said “Your recent activity broke Discord’s rules and we have taken action on your account,” according to the complaint.
Police found a group text message on the phone in which King was questioned “what are we gonna use instead of discord lol.” The complaint also says the group message included a discussion regarding the legality of Artificial Intelligence generated child sexual abuse material.
King’s X activity also indicated he viewed a video depicting an 11-16-year-old boy engaging in a sexually explicit act, the court document states.
The charges say a search of King’s phone and other electronic storage devices remains ongoing.
King is charged with one count each of possession of child sexual abuse material and dissemination of child sexual abuse material. He’s due to make his first court appearance on Friday.
