Ramp Closure Starts Wednesday at Busy Rochester Interchange
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A closure is set to begin Wednesday for a ramp at a busy Rochester interchange.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says the closure is due to the need to replace safety equipment at the exit ramp.
A detour will be in place during the closure. MnDOT officials are advising motorists to budget for extra travel time, especially during the morning and evening commutes.
Hwy. 52 South Ramp to Civic Center Dr. to Close on Wednesday in Rochester, MN
On Nov. 6 the ramp, labeled Exit 56-A, connecting southbound Hwy. 52 to Civic Center Dr. Northwest will close. The closure is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6 and last through Thursday, Nov. 7.
A MnDOT news release says the official detour will route traffic south of the exit to the 2nd St. Southwest off-ramp.
Vehicles will make a left turn at the top of the interchange, then turn left to enter northbound Hwy. 52, where they can reach the offramp to Civic Center Dr.
MnDOT says the ramp from southbound Hwy. 52 to Civic Center Dr. will reopen earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
