Fans of the Bartz Brothers, who have been wowing winter audiences for the last several years with their larger than life snow sculptures. The brothers made an important announcement regarding this upcoming winter, and whether or not they would be creating something new from snow. Sadly, there won't be any snow sculptures this year in New Brighton created by the Bartz Brothers.

In an online announcement, the brothers cite financial needs as the driving force behind not having a sculpture this year.

Due to Lack of funding we will not be doing a snow sculpture in New Brighton this year

There still is a possibility we we will make it happen in a different city this year.

It takes a lot of time, money & resources. We will be activity working on more corporate sponsorships so we can keep this event going! We also are exploring the possibility of this being an every other year event in the future.

Thanks for the support!

- Bartz Bros

The announcement was made after a similar announcement was made last month looking for sponsorships and donations to make this year happen for the talented snow sculpting team from the North Metro.

The brothers did leave the door open for a sculpture in a different city other than their hometown of New Brighton, so it's possible the team of snow sculptors could be busy laster this winter, but it won't be at home.

Maybe the ice castle folks at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds will bring the brothers on to sculpt something to go along with the ice castles?
