Movie Star Living In MN ‘Rather Buy Tractors Than Some Ferrari’
Josh Duhamel was featured in Parade Magazine, and why he enjoys spending time at his cabin in Minnesota's woods. It's refreshing to know that folks who are considered 'famous' are just like you and me. That's why I enjoy Josh Duhamel. The guy loves the Vikings, cabin life, and, according to a recent interview, he'd rather be buying tractors than Ferraris.
The Parade Magazine interview was highlighted by People Magazine and on AOL.com and that's where I found this fun little nugget from Josh on living at least parttime in Minnesota.
“Part of the reason I built my place out in Minnesota, deep in the woods, is it’s removed from everything,” he begins. “The closest store is 40 miles away. Once we get there, it's really about everybody taking care of each other — making memories, spending time with family and friends” - Josh Duhamel
It took Josh 15 years to build his second cabin. He built it from the ground up, and while he was in the process of building, it wasn't uncommon for him to wander on down to the lake to do some dishes.
He told Parade that he even had to wash dishes in the lake near his home at one point before his home had all the necessary amenities. - People Magazine
This is on top of a 2023 interview, which you can watch above with Graham Bensinger about his other cabin/property. It's in that interview that Josh talks about how his business manager doesn't understand that he [Josh] would rather spend his money on tractors...than on a Ferrari in L.A.
I think in some ways we, as Minnesotans, all can relate to that way of thinking. It's why we live here. We'd rather be surrounded by the beauty of Minnesota than by people and buildings.
