Here Are The 10 ‘Best-In-State’ Hospitals In Minnesota
When you aren't feeling well, or you or someone you love needs urgent medical attention it can be good to know the best places you can go for care. Newsweek recently released its list of the best-in-state hospitals across the US and the top-5 here in Minnesota feature St. Cloud's CentraCare.
Newsweek teamed up with consumer data firm Statista and took the time to work out the best hospitals in each state. Statista talked to professionals and looked at patient surveys and hospital quality metrics.
The number one hospital on Minnesota's list shouldn't be a surprise, as it's long been ranked as one of the best hospitals in the world, is the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. As for the rest of the top-10?
1. Mayo Clinic - Rochester
2. Abbott Northwestern - Minneapolis
3. CentraCare - St. Cloud Hospital
4. M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Hospital - Minneapolis
5. Regions Hospital - St. Paul
6. Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital - St. Louis Park
7. M Health Fairview Southdale - Edina
8. Mayo Clinic Health Systems Mankato - Mankato
9. United Hospital - St. Paul
10. Mayo Clinic Health Systems Albert Lea & Austin - Albert Lea/Austin
In total 20 hospitals made Newsweek's list for top in-state hospitals, other area hospitals that made Newsweek's list from around the area were:
20. Centracare Health - Monticello
It appears the best health care outside of Mayo, centers around the metro area. Surprisingly, at least to me, Duluth had its two hospitals come in at 11 and 12 on the list, just outside the top 10.
