STEARNS GARDENING KNOWLEDGE FOR FREE – REGISTER NOW!

It might be the dead of winter, and boy are we feeling it right now; but it's never to early to start planning for your spring gardens. Pre-registration is required due to limited space for this fun event that is free and open to the public.

'Gardening Knowledge For Free' will be held on February 22nd, 2025, at The Whitney Senior Center at 1527 Northway Drive in St. Cloud.

The day will begin at 8 am with check-in and light refreshments. Classes start at 8:30 am and will end at noon.

ABOUT THE CLASSES

Each class at this event is led by a University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Volunteer from Stearns County, who has great knowledge in specific subject matter. There are a total of 6 different sessions that you can choose three to take part in. The sessions to choose from are:

SESSION A 8:30 AM

  • “Landscaping for Wildlife”
  • 'Weeds – Know your Enemy”

SESSION B 9:30 AM

  • “Pollinator Patch”
  • “Tree & Shrub Pruning in Late Winter”

SESSION C 10:30 AM

  • “Growing Onions from Sowing to Harvest”
  • “Bugs that Bug You”

WHO WOULD WANT TO ATTEND THIS EVENT?

The information being provided at this event is for anyone who has an interest in learning more about gardening, who wants to be a gardener, or who is just simply interested in expanding their knowledge.

HOW TO REGISTER

Although this event is free, pre-registration is required to ensure there is room for everyone attending. You can register by clicking HERE now or by calling 320.255.6169 by February 14th, 2025.

Coffee and rolls will be available for a free-will donation.

Crowded House at The Ledge Amphitheater, 2024

The Australian 80s/90s pop band Crowded House brought their Gravity Stairs Tour to celebrate the release of their 8th studio album by the same name to Waite Park. Lead singer Neil Finn's son, Liam opened the show with his solo work and then joined the band later. The photo gallery below captures the fun of the night.
