Powerful Minnesota Singer Gets Eliminated From ‘The Voice’
When you're 16-years-old, you're just learning how to drive or figuring out what career you're interested in. For one Lake Benton, Minnesota teenager, she did something pretty extraordinary. She just sang her heart out for one of television's biggest singing competitions.
Minnesota native Joslynn Rose took her astonishing singing talents to NBC's The Voice. On Monday night during the second week of the Battle Rounds, Joslynn Rose took the stage to compete against her fellow Team Gwen teammate Rudi.
The talented singers performed Evanescence's "My Immortal" on The Voice during the Battle Round. Anyone who's familiar with this song knows how tough it is to perform. But these ladies knocked this song out of the park!
The Voice coaches Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and John Legend all complimented Joslynn Rose on her poise, how she controlled her voice, and her vocal tone. They all told Coach Gwen Stefani she had a difficult decision to make.
In the end, Gwen Stefani picked the singer she thought was ready the most..and that unfortunately was not Joslynn Rose.
What did the Lake Benton native have to say about her experience and Coach Gwen?
You've been such an encouragment to me. I'm just so thankful for this opportunity that I even got to be here.
This is only the beginning for Joslynn Rose! I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of this young lady in the future.
Joslynn Rose...the state of Minnesota and the Sioux Empire are proud of you!
