Since Tim Walz has joined VP Harris as her running mate, he's been making campaign stops all over the country and doing interviews, in this latest sit down with a popular social media channel, he goes full dad mode.

Walz sat down with "SubwayTakes" host Kareem Rahma on Monday and showed his true Minnesota dad colors by giving his "hot take" on what is the "most neglected part of homeownership."

Walz Says "It's personal" For him

The Governor and Vice Presidential candidate didn't take long to give his answer, gutters. Walz says, "My take is the most neglected part of homeownership is the gutters. It's personal for me."

Walz points out that blocked gutters can cause wet basements, and a very Minnesotan problem, ice dams. "It's not good, but there are fixes". And in what sounded like a commercial, Walz starts to explain what a gutter helmet is and how it can stop leaves and other debris from clogging your gutters.

Walz Sings The Menards Jingle

When asked where he buys his gutters, Walz again did not hesitate, "The downspouts I bought at Menards." This prompts a singalong, with Rahma and Walz belting out the "Save Big Money at Menards" jingle in a cappella.

And even Walz likes to save a buck as he reminds us to do the same, by talking about the 11% rebate the home improvement store offers, "keep your receipts. 11% rebates, but you gotta send them in."

The Influencer Election

As the 2025 Presidential campaign rolls on, expect to see all the candidates doing interviews with a variety of social media accounts, podcasters, and influencers. President Donald Trump recently sat down with popular podcaster and comedian Theo Von in an interview that has been viewed over 12,000,000 times on YouTube and is the #1 podcast on Spotify.
