Shocking Food That Dominates the NFL – Vikings Players Consume 200 a Week
I was surprised to learn that this kid-favorite food is consumed in massive quantities by NFL players and teams.
Invented in the mid-90s in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, this food now sells over $1 billion in product each year, and it turns out that NFL teams and players make up a sizable about of their sales.

It’s no surprise that NFL players, constantly juggling meetings, practices, and calorie goals, would reach for a quick, mess-free snack like a PB&J sandwich. And Uncrustables fit the bill perfectly.
The Athletic actually did some research on the NFL's love of Uncrustables, they asked NFL teams about their Uncrustables consumption and 24 or 32 teams shared their data.
The data shows that Uncrustables are incredibly popular among players, The Athletic estimates that NFL teams consume anywhere between 3,600 and 4,300 Uncrustables per week, or 80,000 per year.
The Minnesota Vikings are one of the top 10 Uncrustables loving teams among all the NFL teams, coming in at #8, the Vikings eat about 200 of the crustless PB&J sandwiches each week. But there is one team that takes their love of Uncrustables to the next level, the Denver Broncos go through an estimated 700 Uncrustables per week!
The Athletic did the math, and they calculate that if you laid out all the Uncrustables sandwiches eaten each year in the NFL on a football field, it would cover nearly 20 yards of field. Or the weight of all the Uncrustables would equal the weight of Travis Kelces.
