Move Over, Vikings: This Minnesota Venue is Bringing The Season Ticket Model to Music
The countdown is officially on for the first concert at the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee. While construction is still underway, the concert calendar is already stacked, and tickets are on sale for what’s shaping up to be one of Minnesota’s biggest live music additions in years.
Minnesota’s Largest Outdoor Amphitheater Takes Shape
Once completed, Mystic Lake Amphitheater will become the largest outdoor amphitheater in the state, with a seating capacity of around 19,000. That puts it in the same league as major venues like Target Center and Grand Casino Arena, but with an open-air setup designed specifically for large-scale summer concerts.

Even though the stage isn’t finished yet, the venue’s inaugural season is already locked in, signaling just how confident promoters are in its future.
A First-Year Lineup Packed With Heavy Hitters
The first season lineup reads like a greatest-hits playlist across multiple genres. Scheduled performers include Pitbull and Lil Jon, Chris Stapleton, 5 Seconds of Summer, Goo Goo Dolls, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses, and more.

Landing tickets to even one of those shows is a win. Locking in access to multiple concerts across the season is a whole different level of commitment.
Premium Season Tickets Are Coming to Shakopee
Like other Live Nation–managed amphitheaters in the Midwest, including Somerset Amphitheater in Wisconsin and Alpine Valley Music Theatre in Michigan, Mystic Lake Amphitheater will offer a premium season ticket plan.
Pricing details have not been released. Live Nation typically custom builds these packages based on the number of seats, preferred perks, and overall experience level. Translation: this option won’t be cheap. It’s designed for businesses, corporate entertaining, or hardcore music fans who prioritize live shows above nearly everything else.
What Comes With a Premium Experience
Season ticket holders can expect a long list of high-end perks, including premium seating, VIP Club access with upgraded food and drinks, exclusive venue entrances, in-seat service, premium parking, private restrooms, better food options, and even an on-site concierge.
In short, it’s a very different concert experience than fighting traffic, waiting in lines, and sprinting for the merch table. It’s also about as close as Minnesota gets to full-on amphitheater luxury. Dang, bougie!
