Minnesota Bakery Has The “World’s Best Cinnamon Roll”

Who doesn't love a warm, fresh, gooey cinnamon roll? If that sounds like you, you're in luck, as Minnesota is now home to the "World's Best Cinnamon Roll."

The website WorldsBestCinnamonRolls.com named its winner of the 2024 World’s Best Cinnamon Roll award, and a Minnesota bakery came out on top.

Since 2018, the website has awarded the recognition to bakeries across the country, last year's winner was The Corner Cafe located in Kansas City, MO, but this year's cinnamon champion is in Minneapolis.

Isles Bun & Coffee, located in Minneapolis near Lake of the Isles, is now home to the "World's Best Cinnamon Roll".

The team behind the award says, "Isles’ cinnamon rolls aren’t just baked goods—they’re works of art." They point out the winning cinnamon roll as having "soft, pillowy dough", a "rich but never overpowering" filling of cinnamon and brown sugar, and the generous helping of cream cheese frosting.

They also highlight Isles Bun & Coffee's signature menu item, Puppy Dog Tails, these are made using the ends of the cinnamon roll dough, and for only $2 each, they are the perfect grab and go with a cup of coffee.

Isles Bun & Coffee has been in business since 2000, during the pandemic they offered take and bake cinnamon rolls, one of the owners, Catherine said, “We heard so many stories of families baking them on Christmas morning, or during snowstorms, and making it part of their traditions. That means everything to us.”
