Weather Analyst Forecasts Brutal January For Minnesota
This isn't a huge shock but it does tell us what we are in for this winter season across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
A weather analyst, who goes by Midwest Weather on social media, just shared an update into this winter season, which is just getting started.
The key takeaway from the latest report? That this winter is going to be cold, and it really is just getting started.
According to this report, there will be a warming event at the end of this month into January. I won't try to break down the science of it all but what we can take away from this is that if it does happen, it will be very, very cold.

The first takeaway here is that this winter will 'certainly' be colder than last winter. That isn't saying much considering how mild last winter was but it is notable because some of us thought that we might get another mild winter this year, as it was trending in that direction.
Another noteworthy thing to take away from this report is that fact that if this warming event does happen, January will be even colder than usual. Now that is saying something.
