Minnesota Named The Least Stressed State In The U.S.
Breathe in, breathe out! Minnesota was just named one of the least stressed states in the entire country. While we do live a laid back lifestyle compared to other states, I was surprised we were named one of the least stressed.
The Factors That Came Into Play
WalletHub conducted one of their famous studies, ranking each state from most stressed to least stressed. This is all in honor of April being Stress Awareness Month, which I had no clue about.
To conduct the study, a bunch of key factors were studied, including work-related stress, money-related stress and family-related stress. They also looked at health and safety-related stress, like mental health and physical health.
Minnesota Is the Least Stressed State
So what were the findings? WalletHub found that Minnesota is not only zen, but we are actually the least stressed state out of them all. Woah.

Why are we so not stressed? Compared to the rest of the country, we have this going for us:
- 2nd most hours of sleep per night compared to the rest of the country
- One of the lowest percentage of adults with poor health
- The highest credit score in the country
- Low poverty rates
- One of the lowest divorce rates
That is pretty darn good if you ask me. When you look at the data and these factors, it makes sense that Minnesota is the least stressed state.
What About Wisconsin?
Wisconsin isn't that stressed either. Wisconsin came in at number 38 on this list and did pretty well looking at the key factors of this study. Wisconsin has one of the highest credit scores in the country.

As for the most stressed, that would be Louisiana, Mississippi and Nevada. If you want a fun and laid-back lifestyle, schedule your next trip accordingly.
