The Minnesota Vikings have had a heck of a start to the year. They went 5-0 going into Sunday's home game against the 4-1 Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, the Vikings couldn't pull off the rally to win, and just barely lost to the Lions. NFL Power Rankings are out for the week now. Has Minnesota slipped?

Are The Minnesota Vikings The Real Deal?

Critics of the Vikings in the early first few wins of the season questioned if the success was a short-lived fluke. The Vikings found a way to win games for the first 5. The recipe was to score early, score big, and then let the defense do the heavy lifting in the second half.

The Vikings played the Lions, which are a very good team this year. Last season the Lions went 12-5, and they were already off to a 4-1 start before Sunday.

What was nice to see in Sunday's game in the Vikings was the fact that they scored points in the second half a nearly came back to win it all. The final score was 31-29.
