I had the opportunity to go and see the Vikings play the Packers at home at historic Lambeau Field. I, of course, jumped on the chance and we took the 5-and-a-half-hour drive across Wisconsin to cheesehead country.

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I got there. I heard you want to get there early for all the tailgating. Where do people tailgate? Do you need to have a car to tailgate?

It was clear when we were a mile away. It was a party everywhere. I mean everywhere. There was live music, people were partying on the sidewalks for blocks. It was like the 4th of July but instead of Red, White, and Blue, it was all Green, Gold, and even Purple.

Yes, there were a lot of other Vikings fans there. I wasn't sure how many fellow Vikings fans were going to be there.

We got a drink at one of the many bars on the street on our way down to the stadium. We ended up taking an Uber to the game, and they dropped us off in a tailgate area. It was about a 5 block walk to Lambeau Field.

The stadium was a sight to see. We walked over to the Miller Lite gate entrance and saw the Vince Lombardi and the Curly Lambeau statues. We then entered the stadium, and it was way cooler than I anticipated.

Like I said earlier, this was a really cool opportunity for us. We had suite tickets on the 6th floor. With our tickets, we were also allowed access to the roof at Lambeau. That was insane! The only bummer was there wasn't a flyover to kick off the game. Apparently the National Guard had their hands full helping out with the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

The Packers did not have a good first half of the game, and the fans were very unhappy. The boos were becoming deafening. The Pack finally scored right before Halftime, and then came back to make the game interesting. As a Vikings Fan, I was waiting for them to blow it in the final minutes. Of course, my one trip to Lambeau field would be the time the Vikings blew a 28-point lead.

Fortunately for Vikings fans, they held on to win 31-29.

The party didn't stop after we left Lambeau. We checked out Title Town and walked around for a bit. Multiple bands were playing at different bars just blocks from Lambeau. It was really a fun time, and it was probably the most fun I've had at a football game. They know how to party right at Lambeau.
