The Truth About The ‘Fire In The Sky’ Witnessed In Wisconsin

A couple of years ago, my wife and I were at our cabin in Wisconsin, enjoying a campfire under the stars. This is always amazing because there are no city lights to flood the sky, so you see endless stars and hear the cool sounds of nature, including the Whippoorwill, which loves to keep us up until 4 a.m.

However, on this night, something out of the ordinary caught my eye. As I looked up I saw what looked to be a long train of stars following each other upwards into the sky and they were moving pretty fast.

I knew I had made myself a few strong margaritas, so I pointed it out to my wife to confirm she saw it too.  She also saw it and, since it was summer, that ruled out it being Santa and his reindeer making their way back to the North Pole. So, we hoped that this was the night we finally got to see spaceships, take selfies with aliens, and all that stuff.

However, before putting on the jumpsuit I have hanging in the closet for such an occasion, I thought I should check the Internet to see if I could find answers. A quick search online revealed that we were witnessing a Starlink satellite launch scheduled that evening.  Pretty cool to see, even if it wasn't a landmark alien encounter.

That being said, it seems a lot more sightings of odd things in the sky have been reported lately, many of which have yet to be identified.

Dozens Of Sightings Of A 'Fire In The Sky' Reported In Wisconsin

At around 9 pm on Tuesday, January 28, reports started being shared across social media about a 'fire in the sky' being witnessed in Wisconsin. Witnesses saw the fiery debris for about one minute, which can be seen in the video below.

The pictures and videos that were shared clearly showed something out of the ordinary happening in the sky, but just what was being witnessed?

WKOW-TV in Madison, Wisconsin did some investigating into the phenomenon, and on Wednesday, they reported that after reviewing the footage and looking into meteor reports, the debris was likely space junk, possibly a Starlink satellite scheduled for re-entry.

So, it appears a true encounter with alien spacecraft remains elusive. However, WKOW did add that they will continue to monitor information and they will provide updates on the debris needed. So, you're saying there's a chance?
