New Mystery Thriller Filmed In Northern Minnesota

This movie seems right up my alley! A new movie filmed in Minnesota just made its debut to the public and is likely coming to a silver screen near you.

A few years ago, it was big news when we heard that a movie was filmed in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Now, it isn't all that uncommon at all, which is incredible.

For example, there have been many movies filmed in the Northland over the past few years. The popular Hulu film Merry Kiss Cam was a hit and filmed right here in Duluth!

We also had the other holiday film Rescuing Christmas which starred big stars like Sam Page and Rachel Leigh Cook. Now, we have another film shot in our neck of the woods - and I can't wait to see it.

New Thriller Movie Filmed On The Iron Range Called 'Stone Creek Killer'

This movie sounds like something I would love to see! It is a mystery / thriller movie. The movie filmed in Chisholm, which is a short drive from Duluth! It even has a stacked cast, including Clayne Crawford.

The film was directed by Robert Enriquez and was written by Clint Elliott. The synopsis for the movie, according to iMDB, is as follows:

A small-town police chief pursues a serial killer, helped by a psychic's visions, while fighting to prove his own innocence.

A small town serial killer movie? Consider me seated for this one! I can tell it will definitely have me at the edge of my seat, that's for sure. The film is about an hour and 36 minutes from start to finish.

In April of last year, Clayne Crawford was spotted at the Black Bear Bakery & Cafe in Chisholm. He happily took photos with fans and staff. At that time, staff shared that he was in town scouting for a 'secret film project' set to film in the fall. It was likely this film!

Bakery staff even shared a few photos from the film, including one that shows the bakery in what appears to be the movie itself! How fun. There have been several screenings of the movie over the past few months.

News of the movie came out in August of last year. I can't wait for this movie to come out - which will be over Thanksgiving weekend online and in select theaters.
