This might seem far away but summer will be here before you know it! Before your weekends book up, save the date for the 10th annual Chief Frantz Red Run 5K. Even better? The proceeds all go to a good cause.

The run takes place at Rice Lake Fire Station #1, located along Martin Road. The proceeds from the run benefit the Rice Lake Firefighters Relief Association. The race is also family-friendly and you can totally walk it if that better suits you!

Here's what you need to know about the race, which also includes fun events and activities:

  • Join the run on Saturday, July 27th.
  • The race kicks off at 9 a.m.
  • There are tons of raffle prizes.
  • There will be activities for kids.
  • There will also be food available for purchase.

If you register by Saturday, July 6th, you are guaranteed a race t-shirt. This is a great and fun way to help out a good cause, soak in some Minnesota summertime sun and also keep moving those muscles you work so hard for while training for Grandma's Marathon.

As for packet pickup, that will be at the fire station the day prior to the race from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. You can also pick up your packet on race morning beginning at 8 a.m. You can register for the event now online!
