New Craft Cocktail Lounge Opening In A Historic Minnesota Location

There are plenty of bars to be found throughout Minnesota, but not nearly as many that are true craft cocktail lounges, dedicated to botanicals, craft beer, and live music.

However, for those who love that experience, there is a new lounge in Duluth that will be a must-stop place for locals and visitors alike, not only because of the drinks and atmosphere, but also because of its historic backstory and location.

In fact, the name of the lounge was inspired by Mayor Samuel F. Snively, the longest-serving mayor of Duluth, serving from 1921 to 1937.  His legacy as Duluth's mayor is largely remembered for the effort he put into the creation of numerous parks and boulevards throughout the city, particularly Seven Bridges Road and Skyline Parkway.

This week, the Brewhouse Family announced the grand opening of Snively’s Lounge, located at 132 E Superior Street, in Duluth’s historic City Hall, which is also home to The Oliver Inn and The Rathskeller.

Snively’s Lounge boasts that it's a 'vibrant cocktail lounge' that 'pairs small-town warmth with big-city elegance all within one of Duluth’s most storied landmarks.'

The interior was designed to merge vintage character and natural light, with cushioned seating and refined details. “We’re building a space that feels both familiar and unexpected,” said Dan Grew, Marketing Director for the Brewhouse Family.

Snively’s Lounge has a curated menu featuring:

• Fresh-squeezed cocktails and house-made botanical infusions
• Snively’s Favorites – timeless classic cocktails
• Fitger’s Brewhouse craft beer – available for $6
• Rotating non-alcoholic offerings – shrubs, organic lemonades, and fruit-forward ice cream drinks made with real purées

Snively’s will also host a dynamic lineup of music nights from classical to contemporary sounds.

The new craft cocktail lounge is the newest addition to the Brewhouse Family, which includes Fitger’s Brewhouse, Fitger's Barrel Room, Burrito Union, and Endion Station.
