Minnesota Target Store Evacuated After Bomb Threat
A Target store in Minnesota needed to be evacuated this last Sunday. The local police department learned of a bomb threat call made to the Target store.
The Virginia Police Department received the call of a bomb threat on Sunday, August 4th, at approximately 8:50 AM. The store was ordered to evacuate as a precautionary measure.

The Target Store #847 is located at 1001 13th St S, Virginia, MN 55792.
It's one of the busiest Target stores in the state, being only one of 2 locations in Northern Minnesota. The other location is in Grand Rapids, which is over an hour away.
According to WDIO, the Virginia Police Department released a statement regarding the evacuation. The police were able to confirm that it was not a legitimate threat to the store. A K9 explosives unit from Duluth was used to confirm there were no explosives in the store. Duluth Police officer Jeremy O'Connor and his K9 partner Kallie are the only explosives detection unit north of the Twin Cities Metro.
They also later were able to locate the caller who admitted the incredible threat was a hoax.
Northern News Now reports that police were able to determine the phone number that made the bomb threat belonged to a juvenile.
The police department says the incident is still under investigation. It's unclear if the juvenile will face any charges.
