I am hungry just thinking about this! The Duluth area is about to get an exciting new addition: a steakhouse and hibachi restaurant. These are two of my favorite meals in one so I can not wait.

In January of last year, I was running errands around the Miller Hill Mall when I noticed that something was happening nearby! Upon further investigation, I learned about this new restaurant.

I couldn't find too much information about the space at the time but I did find out that the spot is called MASA and it will be a steakhouse hibachi fusion. Count me in!

The restaurant is located at the intersection of Decker Road and Mountain Shadow Drive. If you are driving in the area, you can't miss it. Now, there's been an update.

MASA Restaurant Shares Opening Update

It has pretty much been radio silence as the owners work on the project! About six weeks ago, they responded to local inquiries about when they would open. At the time, they said they were hoping to be ready around August but were dealing with some issues from the city.

Now, they've shared a pretty promising update, along with a photo of their progress inside. The inside is pretty much done and they said they are "almost there" with getting the new spot open.

Another fun fact we learned about the restaurant thanks to their latest update? You will have the option to have the chef cook in front of you hibachi-style or you can order hibachi but the kitchen will cook it elsewhere and serve it to you.

The owners have been working on opening this space for quite some time so I am excited for it to open and hope it is a big success! It sounds delicious.
