They say that flavor, texture, and creaminess are the deciding factors on if ice cream is good or not. They also are not a fan of artificial ingredients. Kemps is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota. The brand has been around for over 100 years. They put Kemps on the list because of their artificial ingredients, citing the fact that they were involved in a class-action lawsuit for misleading advertising. It had to do with Kemps (and 120 other defendants) being sued because they advertised they used natural vanilla flavor. The courts eventually sided with Kemps, even though the vanilla didn't actually come from a vanilla bean.

I'm still eating my Kemps.

Natural ingredients or not, I'll still be supporting this historic Minnesota brand.
