The Minnesota Vikings are off to an amazing and improbable 5-0 start to the 2024 season.

They will now enjoy their bye week before what will be their biggest challenge so far, a home game on October 20 against the Detroit Lions, the defending NFC North Champions.

While the fantastic play of the defense and the resurgence of quarterback Sam Darnold have made the most headlines, an unsung hero so far has been Minnesota's sixth-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Rookie kicker Will Reichard is off to a fantastic start. Through his first five games, he's gone 9-for-9 on field goals, including a 58-yard field goal against the Houston Texans and a 54-yarder in London against the New York Jets.  He's also made all 16 extra-point attempts.
