Update: Accumulating Snow Possible In Duluth Thursday
UPDATE: As of late Monday (October 28th), the National Weather Service of Duluth shared a couple updates that are VERY spooky for Halloween.
This update states that we might see our first accumulating snow of the season, although that chance is less than ten percent.
They also share that rain / snow mix will turn to snow Thursday into Friday, stating that the 'recent trend is towards increased snowfall amounts' across our region. You better adapt your costume to fit the snow. Ha!
Halloween is upon us! The big day is just a few days away so we can really start honing in on what weather conditions will be like in the Duluth and Superior area.
In fact, it wouldn't be out of the question for snow to be in the forecast for Halloween in the Twin Ports, as we usually get our first measurable snowfall by now.
However, we've had a nice and mild fall without any real taste of winter just yet, with the exception of a few cold nights.

It looks like you may have to adapt your costume a bit because it will be cold and possibly snowy, according to the National Weather Service of Duluth.
Brrrrr! According to their forecast for the week, Halloween will bring a high in the upper 40s for Duluth, along with a mix of rain and snow. Yikes.
The good news? Chances for that rain and snow mix will decrease as we head into the afternoon and evening, meaning things could dry up before the actually trick-or-treating starts.
It has been a very warm October for Duluth! At the time of writing, Duluth is having one of its top ten warmest Octobers ever. In true Northland fashion, that warm streak is ending just in time for Halloween. That's scary - pun intended.

The Old Farmer's Almanac did predict that we'd have a somewhat snowy Halloween in our region. However, they said we'd see our first snow in mid-October and so far, we haven't seen anything measurable.
