A popular YouTuber in Minnesota just got a rare tour of one of the Great Lakes' 1000-foot ships. He takes us onboard with his YouTube video and shows what life on the ship is really like.

I've seen the ships being loaded in the slips from a distance, but not this close. It's a fun video to watch and I learned a lot about these 1000 footers.

YouTuber Vibe With Mike posts videos of ships entering and leaving the Twin Ports (and other ports when he travels), and has a huge following. He has nearly 40,000 subscribers and has people watch his videos all over the world. People really find these Great Lakes ships interesting.

Have you ever wondered how they make sure the load is balanced? That's pretty important for a huge ship like this. It turns out they actually have load lights that show how the weight is being distributed.

Did you know that they actually have a rail system in place for equipment to move up and down to secure the hatches? That's pretty neat!

Mike even gets a look at the galley and talks to the chef, Jennifer. It sounds like these sailors eat pretty well. Some of their favorite meals include made-from-scratch pizza, Reubens, taco night, and burger night. They also have grab-and-go snacks available.
