
AccuWeather Releases Winter Forecast For Wisconsin
Winter is coming! Whether we like it or not, winter will be here eventually. It will probably hit even harder considering the extended summer we'd been having up until earlier this week.
We've been spoiled with some very nice weather and that is obviously not always the case in northern Minnesota. Usually the opposite is true!

Now, with fall officially here and winter upon us any given second, many weather organizations have started to release their 2025-2026 winter forecasts. One weather analyst, for example, said we could get up to ten feet of snow in Duluth this season!
The same weather analyst, who goes by Midwest Weather on social media, also shared that we will be seeing our first accumulating snow during the second half of October. Yikes.
What Has Been Said About Winter 2025-2026 For Minnesota + Wisconsin
Of course, the Old Farmer's Almanac weighed in, suggesting that our first major snowstorm of the season for our region could hit at the end of November, just in time for Thanksgiving. That would not be good timing at all.

One website dedicated to the weather also recently suggested that it will be a colder-than-average winter for Minnesota. That is really saying something so I hope that's not true! The latest weather organization to weigh in is AccuWeather.
AccuWeather Releases Snow Forecast For Wisconsin
So what does AccuWeather have to say about snow for the impending winter season in Wisconsin? According to their outlook, we should all start to brace ourselves for a pretty snowy winter, especially because we have had some mild winters lately.

AccuWeather says we will see our first round of storms earlier than usual, with December being a particularly active month for snow. At least we will have a white Christmas? We could see more snow than usual, especially in our neck of the woods. Yikes!
AccuWeather Releases Temperature Forecast For Wisconsin
What about temperatures? Obviously it is going to be cold but is it going to be way colder than usual? According to AccuWeather, that could be the case, warning that energy bills could get high this winter.
Cold will take hold early in December before easing in January, when a brief thaw is likely. By February, winter is forecast to return in force.
