Hunter Lost in Minnesota Woods Located
Orr, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in northern Minnesota are reporting a happy ending for an incident regarding a missing hunter.

A news release issued by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and members of the agency’s Search and Rescue Team were dispatched to a wooded area on the report of an overdue hunter. The call came in around 10:30 Friday night.
Authorities learned the hunter, described as a 62-year-old man from International Falls, had gone into a wooded area about 15 miles north of Orr with his dog around 5 p.m. and had not returned.
Officials say the hunter and his dog walked out of the woods around 8:45 Saturday morning at a Rescue Squad Command Post that had been set up after the call.
The hunter told authorities he had gotten lost in the woods and started a campfire once nightfall came.
He then walked out of the woods once daylight returned. Officials say the man and his dog were not injured.
