Four Hurt in Shooting at Southern Minnesota Gathering
Truman, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in southern Minnesota are investigating a shooting that sent four people to the hospital late Monday night.
A news release issued Tuesday evening by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to multiple calls reporting shots being fired at a large gathering shortly before 11:45 p.m. The call came from a large gathering at a residence in rural Truman, which is about 45 miles southwest of Mankato.
Upon arrival, deputies found four people suffering from gunshot wounds. They were described as an 18-year-old man, 18-year-old woman, 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man.
All four of the gunshot victims were taken to a hospital in nearby Fairmont. The 18-year-olds were treated and released. The 19-year-old man was taken to a Mankato hospital where he’s recovering and the 20-year-old man was brought to Rochester and is also recovering in the hospital.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office did not release any information regarding a suspect or possible arrest, however authorities say the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident. Anyone with information regarding the late-night shooting is asked to contact the Martin County Law Enforcement Center.
