Young Man Killed in North Minneapolis Shooting
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A young man lost his life in a Minneapolis shooting on Friday.

A news release issued by the Minneapolis Police Department says officers responded to the gunfire, which was detected by ShotSpotter, around 6:20 p.m. The shots were fired in the 3200 block of Fremont Ave. North.
Responding officers found a young man suffering from apparent life-threatening gunshot wounds at the scene.
21-Year-Old Man Dies in Minneapolis Shooting, So Far No Arrests Made
Police immediately performed CPR and provided other forms of life-saving aid. The 21-year-old victim was then transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, the news release says.
His name and more information surrounding his death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office upon completion of an autopsy, police say.
The news release says homicide detectives responded to the scene to try and learn the events that led up to the deadly shooting. So far no arrests have been announced by police.
“Our investigators will work tirelessly to try and find answers about what happened to this man for his family,” said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara. “I urge anyone who may know what happened to contact our investigators.”
