Minnesota Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities have released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a crash in southern Minnesota over the weekend.

The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a crash Saturday afternoon at a rural intersection in the town of Minnesota Lake. A news release says the motorcyclist apparently lost control and was thrown from the vehicle.

He has been identified as 54-year-old Ronald Remme of Waterville.

The Sheriff's Office says Remme was not wearing a helmet and, despite life-saving measures attempted by deputies and first responders from the Minnesota Lake Fire and Ambulance, he died at the scene.

The news release states that the victim was alone and there were no witnesses to the crash. It remains under investigation by the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
