The 83rd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is right around the corner and this year promises to be one of the biggest gatherings of bikes in recent memory.

Planning the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is no easy task. And with less than three weeks to go before the event officially kicks off, the small town (around a half-hour ride from Rapid City) is in its final stages of preparation for this year's rally.

This year's Sturgis Rally runs from August 4-15 and there are a number of live concerts expected to draw in fans from the entire United States.

According to News Center 1 TV, these are the acts set to perform for the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Event.

  • Goodfire - (August 4)
  • Koe Wetzel - (August 5)
  • Steel Panther - (August 5)
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd - (August 6)
  • Limp Bizkit - (August 7)
  • Lita Ford - (August 7)
  • Styx - (August 8)
  • REO Speedwagon - (August 8)
  • Whiskey Myers - (August 9)
  • George Thorogood & The Destroyers - (August 9)
  • Def Leppard - (August 10)
  • Pop Evil - (August 10)
  • Buckcherry - (August 11)
  • Puddle of Mudd - (August 11)

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Iron Horse Saloon also has music going around the clock during the rally, including performances by Aaron Watson (August 5), Hairball (August 7 & 8), Gary Allan (August 9), and Skillet (August 11).

There will also be live music at the Loud American Roadhouse, Kickstands, and the KnuckleHorse Saloon throughout the rally.
