The police statement says that, not knowing the condition of the suspected explosives, the decision was made to evacuate the immediate area until a bomb squad could respond. The Minneapolis Bomb Squad was dispatched to the property in the 4600 block of Mohawk Drive and safely removed the suspected dynamite.
In announcing the incident, Medina Police stated there is no danger to the public and that the suspected explosive material is no longer present. Information concerning the source of the dynamite and how long it had been stored in the garage is not available.
