Distracted Driving Suspected in Death of Minnesota Motorist
Scandia, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities are indicating that distracted driving apparently contributed to a fatal traffic crash early this morning on the far northeastern edge of the Twin Cities area.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash with injuries shortly after 3:30 AM. A news release says the crash occurred along a two-lane suburban highway in Scandia, about 5 miles east of Forest Lake.
The statement says the deputies found the driver of the vehicle dead at the scene. Officials say 23-year-old James Raymond Lowe Jr. of Lindstrom was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

The deadly incident remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
