
Medical Examiner Confirms Drowning Death of Minnesota Child
Maple Plain, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of a young child who drowned last week at a swimming beach in the Twin Cities.
A news release says 8-year-old Karman Conneh of Brooklyn Center died on Friday at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. The autopsy determined his death was the result of freshwater drowning.

The deadly incident occurred on Thursday at the Baker Park swimming beach on Lake Independence in Maple Plain. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the child was on a supervised field trip and was found in about 3 feet of water by a teacher.
